WThis is a home-style take on a beverage from our latest drinks list. It's a batch pre-mixed that is loaded full of essence of a Christmas time, which makes it perfect for hosting a holiday party. Any leftover syrup for brunch beverages, sweets, or to mix more rounds of this cocktail.

Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Drink (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (as made above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
For the Cordial: Place the listed items in a pot, bring to a simmer, stirring so the sugar melts. After that, turn off the stove and leave to cool entirely. Transfer to a sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for about one month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Mix all the spirits and syrup into a sizeable container, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then pass it through , ideally through cheesecloth, making it completely strained.
For serving: Add 85ml of the premix to a stirring glass packed with ice, and agitate carefully for a minute to chill. Filter to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with a few cranberries and finish using a brief mist with the mandarin essence above the glass.
